SOCIAL  IMPACT

Your work with HOOP directly impacted the life of a person in need.

We gave to carefully screened, high-impact projects that were in-line with the Sustainable Development Goals set by world leaders to create a sustainable future for us all.  We worked with the global business-for-good initiative B1G1 (Buy 1, Give 1) and with voluntary organisation CHW (Children's Helper's Worldwide) and others to change lives each year. It was a simple concept that delivered amazing outcomes; for every Client we contributed to one of the following (don’t worry, this wasn’t added to your bill – it’s what we did, we took care of it).  

EDUCATION

By appointing us at concept, feasibility or initial design stages you enabled an education initiative e.g. you provided a street child in Afghanistan with a full day of education. 

shelter

At the Planning and Building Regulations phases of a project we contributed to shelter, e.g. you supported the building of a family facility to grow crops that nourished and sustained their children.

WATER

For every Client who used us for services including interiors, Party Wall, project management, post occupancy or property services, a person in need received the life-saving gift of clean drinking water.

We valued your opinion, project selections were reviewed regularly so if you suggested the next B1G1 or CHW or similar project you emailed us here.

oUR planet

We were members of Making Design Circular, making a commitment to working through the ‘5-stage Path to Sustainability’ and carving out time every week to re-wild our creative practice so that we, our business and the planet could thrive. We are Certified Carbon Literate and signatories of #ArchitectsDeclare - both were a public declaration of our planet’s environmental crises and a commitment to take positive action. We continued to grow our knowledge and environmental understanding, unable to ignore the facts of the climate and biodiversity emergency, we strove to be curious students and courageous educators, ambitious and generous in designing, making and sharing our knowledge and creativity broadly.
